In San Pedro Sula

We have arrived in San Pedro Sula. We are eating supper at the moment. You would NOT believe the amount of food they are serving us right now. Our group is going to gain 10 pounds apiece by the time they finish eating.

If you have tried calling the hotel, please wait for us for about an hour. The hotel has us registered as Pal Tours since our travel agent booked the rooms. The minute I arrive the students will be booked into rooms. THEN they will be ready to received phone calls. Thanks for your patience. We plan on getting them into their rooms and down as soon as possible. They are tired from shopping and a long scenic bus ride. I'll blog from the hotel as soon as possible.

  1. To the Gehlen Seniors-I talked to Lisa Sitzmann tonight to see if the senior trip was still on. First of all she did not know that you were not back. I explained what was going on and that some of the seniors would not be going on the senior trip. Sana, Greg and Becca would not be arriving until Thursday night so they would miss both days. Those flying into Minneapolis Josh, Megan, Eric and Matt could catch up with the group for Friday if they felt like it. Lisa said everything is set up and tickets booked but was going to call Father to let him know what was going on. Things could change if more seats become available on the earlier flights or if they cancel the senior trip. Will blog if I hear anything else. I am more concerned about getting you all back. Thanks again to Frank, Al, Carolyn and Dick for all that you have done. You are amazing!!

  2. Mary & Matt - I will try to call later when you get checked in. If there is a way to call directly to each person's room, that could save confusion at the front desk. I talked to your mom tonight. She is planning to come on Friday to help get ready for 1st communion. My mom, Janet & Deb have all offered to help as well so if you get a chance to make a list of what we can do, I'll pass the word on. The graduation announcements look good! Miss you, Love Jim, Michelle, Nathan & Emily.

  7. Hi everybody this is Mary from the STM team. Wow talk about being troopers! This is a good lesson for us all. Being a missionary means rolling with the punches and saying lots of prayers for protection and prayers of thanks for the people on the ground who take care of us!! We'll keep praying for you all....that includes you too Dick. Keep up the good work one and all :)
