Concrete Slab in Picture

The concrete slab seen in one of the photos is the base for a 'pila' which will be outside one of the homes. A pila is a good size water storage tank that most Hondurans use for all their water needs. They will fill the pila with water and use it throughout a week for everything: cooking, bathing, washing clothes. It is their only way to have water at hand when needed.
