Though group 1 left about 45 minutes late, both groups are enroute to Miami. Only one flight left to go.
Update: Both teams landed minutes apart in Miami. Group 1 will leave at 9:16am and the second group will leave at 11:55am. Both flights, as of right now, are on time.

ReplyDeleteHere's a little "bedtime" story that came to mind after hearing of your trials.
The Christmas Shell (by Gerald Horton Bath)
A missionary was visiting several islands in the South Pacific before Christmas. He had been telling his native students how Christians, as an expression of their joy, gave one another presents on Christ’s birthday.
On Christmas morning, one of the natives brought the missionary a seashell of lustrous beauty. When asked where he had discovered such an extraordinary shell, the native said he walked many miles to a certain bay – the location where such shells could be found.
“I think,” exclaimed the missionary with gratitude, “it was wonderful of you to travel so far to get this lovely gift for me.”
His eyes brightening, the native answered, “Long walk is part of the gift!”
Your "Long Trip" is already part of your gift to the Hondurans. They appreciate the effort you make to be with them this week and to share yourselves with them. That is your most important gift. I am proud of your efforts already. Fr. Doug
We are so glad you all made it to Honduras safely. We look forward to hearing about the next part of your adventure. So proud of you all for staying positive during those long days in the airport/flying. You have already shown how strong and amazing you are. Go do great things!
ReplyDeleteHooray you finally made it! Now to get to work! You will really appreciate your beds tonight after sleeping on the floors at the airports. But seriously embrace each and every moment you are there. You are making such an impact on the Hondurans lives... as they will on yours.
ReplyDeleteI find it hard to believe it has been a year since I went on my trip. I think of my time there often and the impact it had on me. Be the hands and feet of Jesus!
And please give Estelle a Big Hug from Me. God Bless you all!
