It's 9:20 p.m. in Omaha - almost time for room check. All missioners are already in their rooms so they can be rested (or as rested as possible with all our excitement today) and ready to go into Honduras tomorrow. It's hard to believe that this day has finally arrived. All the preparation that was done by many people is soon to come to fruition in our mission trip.
We began this afternoon with a beautiful and meaningful Send-Off prayer service. Thanks to the CLT members for doing a great job! I enjoyed seeing my own students participate in the service and truly enjoyed having my grandchildren (and their parents) present me with my shirt, cross, and junta booklet.
We've eaten a filling meal and had our meeting in preparation of tomorrow's trip into Honduras. We all thank YOU for the prayers you're sending our way as we undertake this year's mission. We look forward to your words of encouragement throughout our mission. We also will keep you in our thoughts and prayers as we continue the mission so many before us have undertaken.
Time for me to check on the missioner for the night. Mr. Seivert will keep you posted as we travel tomorrow. He will also blog when we have landed in Tegucigalpa. We are all READY to go!
